Explorer Scouts are young people aged between 14-18 years old. They make up the fourth section of the Scouting family, and are run by the District as Units.There can be one or more Units in each District and each member has a say in their programme.

Activities can include camping, canoeing, climbing, chess, expeditions, trips out, in fact anything you care to imagine. Explorers can gain badges and Chief Scout Platinum, Diamond and Queen's Scout Awards as well as the Duke of Edinburgh's Award.
